[Description of manuals ordered and not received and complaints about
the Usenix staff not responding.]

I have often ordered books and proceedings from Usenix and they always
arrived. The staff at the office are always responsive and polite.
The reason you may have had problems getting response from the office
staff may be that they were busy working on the Winter Usenix
conference which is taking place this week in San Francisco. Try to
contact them next week. The problem with the manuals may lie in the
postal system. I found it makes a huge difference ordering by air-mail
(both time and cost wise :-) By air the items I order from Usenix
usualy appear on my doorstep in Greece ten days after I fax out the
order; it may take more than a month by surface mail. I presume the
surface mail times to Australia will be similar.
