The other day I was trying to find out why our system was so slow and I could not even run a ps command due to lack of swap space. It turned out that it was my fault; a hacked nroff macro run awry. It can be summarised in the following script: #!/bin/nroff .de X .X .. .X Be careful it uses all memory it can find.
