Summary
PANAYIOTIS MILIOTIS is
Professor of Operational Research at the Management Science and Technology of
the Athens University of Economics and Business. He has obtained a diploma in
Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of
Athens and a M.Sc. and a Ph.D in Operational Research from the London School of
Economics (LSE). He has served twice as Vice Rector of the Athens University of
Economics and Business and also as Director of the Department of Informatics.
His publications have appeared in Applied Mathematics and Operational Research
Journals such as Mathematical Programming, Annals of Discrete Mathematics,
European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of the Operational Research
Society and are cited in various international journals and textbooks. He has
been a member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Information
Systems and also has worked for the Centre of Transnational Corporations
(United Nations). His research interests include sequencing and scheduling
problems, supply chain management, efficiency measurement, energy and
telecommunication pricing and modelling of electronic business activities.
